Still Waiting .... and waiting ... and waiting ....

Well it has been nearly two years since HR 1188 was introduced and ..... that was the only action it has seen! If only that was the only "action" our Disabled Veterans had seen ... it would be a brand new day!!!!!!

Considering this has taken two years and there is no end in site, they have buried in sub-committes, and of course no one will follow through. HR 1188 is going to die there. Do you really think the conditions at Walter Reed will really be improved? With they scurry across the United States and clean up the processes and conditions at the other VA facilities ... ??? Yeah ... right ... that will happen!!!! Shame on you ... our elected officials.

I suggest we revoke their fantastic medical coverage and give them all unlimited 100% VA Coverage!! And then ... just possibly ... things would change!!!!

If any of you are out there ... send an email ... call who you know ... scream ... notify the press ... whatever is in your power. Please help our Disabled Veterans be treated equally with the same benefits as their comrades. This is a complete injustice and we are allowing it.

A boy goes to war, his family waiting and worries, he returns disabled. A life time of earning potential destroyed in addition to his dreams and goals; his families dreams and goals. And after such a sacrafice we cannot allow him to shop at a commissary or use space available travel? They would rather allow the seat to go empty than to give it to a veteran?

Please HELP spread the word. Someone out there knows someone who can make a difference. I am so tired of politicians offering up something to Veterans, to be politically correct in an election year, and then dropping the ball. The FALSE PROMISES have to stop!!!!!!

Politican's should be held accountable for their lack of tenacity .... VETERANS ARE!

H.R. 1188 [109th]: Disabled Veterans Right to Commissaries and Space Available Travel Act

To amend title 10, United States Code, to support disabled veterans by extending military commissary and exchange store privileges to such veterans and their dependents and by authorizing space-available travel on military aircraft for such veterans and their dependents.

This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress. Sessions of Congress last two years, and at the end of each session all proposed bills and resolutions that haven't passed are cleared from the books. This bill never became law.
